Debian 11 now supported!

On August 14, 2021, the Debian project released the newest stable version 11. This version is code named “bullseye”. In development for 2 years, 1 month, and 9 days, this latest version will be supported for the next 5 years.

Since 1GServers began supporting Debian for inclusion in our Auto Deploy Servers on January 2020, it has risen to be one of the most utilized operating systems by our customers. We are pleased to announce that support for Debian 11 has now been added to our Auto Deploy Servers. Customers that wish to have Debian 11 installed onto their dedicated server can do so in our client portal. New customers can select Debian 11 during the checkout process when signing up for either an Auto Deploy Server, which are ready within 20 minutes, or a Fully Customized dedicated server.

Debian was first made available on September 7th, 2019. According to Wikipedia, Debian is one of the oldest operating systems based upon the Linux kernel, with it’s first release September 15th, 1993.
